What It Seems (2015)

Oil and resin on silver-leafed panel 16"X16" 

 

Portrait of a young subject and wisteria flowers are painted between layers of poured resin creating the sense of depth and casting shadows. The top resin layer is made to physically crack from where patterns in white paint spreads from her gaze. The work is painted in the recess of ebony stained wooden panel to allow the resin pour. Red seal that reads Kae and the year 2015 are at bottom-right corner.

  • The painting will be shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground with a tracking number and an insurance for the price of the painting. The packaging will be documented with photos and an enclosed condition report. 

  • The painting will be wrapped in a sheet of polyethylene vapour barrier and bubble wrapped and/or protected with a layer of foamboard and boxed for shipping.
